Thank you for taking the time to participate in this survey by the Wikimedia Foundation Research team to investigate how to serve Wikimedia developers.
The mission of the Wikimedia Foundation Research team is to develop models and insights utilizing scientific methods, and strengthen Wikimedia research communities in order to support technology and policy needs, and advance the understanding of the Wikimedia projects.
Wikimedia volunteer developers are one of our serving audiences, as we envision a world in which these developers can effectively leverage expertise from the Wikimedia research community to contribute to the Wikimedia projects. To serve developers in this mission, we have created this survey that aims to identify existing and suggested research needs and opportunities of Wikimedia developers.
